I don't think you do. You have representatives, You make not agree but they were voted in. You apparently do not like democracy. If I were of your mind I would move. Nor spend years on C-D complaining. That is a waste.

I didnt vote them in, they dont represent me and your notion that they behave according to the promises they make while running for office is childish. And regardless, at the end of it all they rely on theft and redistribution to fullfil any promises
I'm not moving, but may I suggest Somalia as a good place for you to set up your totalitarian utopia.
And what are you doing here on C-D besides complaining about people who believe freedom is the best answer?

Basically you hate democracy. Anyone or anything that disagrees with you is intolerable Your neighbors voted them in. Democracy in action.

No it's not "theirs" any more than the highways or bridges or atomic bombs or power plants or hospitals or everything else is theirs.

All money I have seen has something printed on it...not my name. It's simply a certificate that we use as a basis for our "made up" monetary system.

In the end we pay ALL our money out for something or another. As the Founders and Adam Smith and other greats said "life and money and property is for the living"....and the biggest enemy to a Republic likes our is concentrated wealth.

You have exposed yourself as a lover of the feudal system and monarchy/oligarchy. Fine. But don't expect others to bend to that backwards world view.

Yeah I dislike mob rule.
I am fine with democracy. Not always what I want but can live with majority rule.

You obviously cannot. You want the freedom to doe what you want and not answer to anyone. Yet instead of manning up and actually doing something about it you evangelize about if on C-D as a woes is me plight.

Sorry but if I felt as you do I would be long gone and not posting here.

I've discussed this before. Your idea of freedom only works for the wealthy. It would be a nightmare for the middle class, working class and the poor. The lower classes couldn't afford the user fees and tolls that would replace the current system of taxation and would therefore descend into favela like conditions wondering who they would have to rob to get their next meal. I don't want that world

It's ironic that democrats want to protect the estate tax while they develop trusts to avoid the estate tax... They want the tax while avoid paying the tax... anyone who has enough money to be affected by estate tax has more than enough money to avoid the estate tax completely...

It is imperfect, like everything else, but one of the ways the estate tax can be avoided or minimized is through a donation to charity through a charitable trust. Thereby the estate tax helps to incentivize giving to charity which is a positive thing for society, and the deceased was able to make a choice as to where some of their money would be going.
i never said avoidance was a political issue, I am asking why have it if you are going to avoid it completely? Why mandate killing the chicken when you are going to eat beef? Which is what liberals are advocating...
