Wouldn't this be a great opportunity for solar power companies to showcase what they can do?

If they could supply round the clock, it would be fantistic, maybe even a miracle.

Good idea. Recently we went solar at our Mexican home. Payback is fast as the government owned utility is more generous than private utilities in US as far as crediting KWH for KWH.

Solar would be best right now for them. I wonder how many are going to just leave there and go to Florida to start over? Puerto Rico is going to take years to rebuild. When they rebuild they need to have stricter building codes like florida after Andrew.

It's a good idea.

They should just use candles and not worry about fixing the grid. Its cleaner that way and it will make the L̶u̶d̶d̶i̶t̶e̶s̶ environmentalists happy.
