So are the celebrations for Brexit still going on?

The fifth round of negotiations just ended with a "lack of progress" and folks are talking about the prospect of negotiations breaking down entirely.

Seems the merry predictions of Boris Johnson and other Brexiters about how the "prevailing interests of Italian winemakers and German car exporters would quickly bring EU diplomats to heel" have not proven accurate.

There still is plenty of time to negotiate payments, trade deals, etc. and for the European Parliament to approve matters before March 29, 2019 – the date the U.K. is set to leave the European Union.

"Meanwhile, recruiters are using Brexit to attract highly-skilled and young professionals back to their home countries."

England is in trouble with brexit. The nitwit brexiters were so very convinced that the EU would bend to their will and give in. The opposite is happening and they will be further screwed when large companies move out of England because they have larger markets in the EU

Read where banks are already starting to move their EU operations out of the UK and medical professionals are beginning to pull up stakes.

I've not been following things that closely, but I believe I read where one area of agreement was that UK citizens living in EU countries would still get their NHS care.

There is little upside to the EU making it easy for the UK to leave. EU countries get more banking, manufacturing, young professionals, ... while UK gets trade barriers.

I hope we at least get some decent soccer players coming to the MLS after their economy collapses.
