The Moscow-linked actors appear to be the source of the campaign that had a goal to raise racial tensions by bringing up incidents of police brutality.
The Russians interfering with our election is A-Okay.
But reporting said interference is "disgusting".
Got it.

It can't be true, the Russians would have NEVER interfered with our election. I mean, why would they have wanted Dear Leader elected in the first place? Is it because they have the goods on him and know that this moron will take this country backwards 20 years?
The soviets have scrambled the eggs of the governing class throughout the 20th century, but then they failed. Today's leftists are the residual leftover zombies.
The Reality of Red Subversion
The Recent Confirmation of Soviet Espionage in America Stephen J. Sniegoski • September 1, 2003
"Today our entire Corporate Media is shrilly proclaiming—on the basis of absolutely no public evidence—that Christian Russia is on the verge of subverting and seizing control of the American government via the election of Donald Trump. It is therefore highly ironic that in the past all of these same media organs had viciously attacked and ridiculed those who presented the strong evidence that Communist Russia actually did come close to subverting and seizing control of the American government during the 1930s and 1940s, never fully acknowledging their grievous error. The massive documentation behind this undeniable historical fact has been provided across numerous scholarly books, but much of it is helpfully summarized in this monograph by Dr. Stephen Sniegoski, which is therefore worth republishing. —Ed."
I don't understand how, in principle, either candidate could be helped or hurt by this. I can see where highlighting police brutality could be a general embarrassment to America - so the Russians might have enjoyed that - but I don't see how either candidate would benefit.
A general note on a somewhat different tangent: I do see where games of the PGo sort could be used, for better or worse, to influence social patterns. On the positive side, I could see Niantic or other companies teaming up with, for example, the Green Dot Bystander Intervention movement to encourage gamers - who tend to be all over the place collecting creatures - to get training on how to respond if they witness trouble. (Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_...r_Intervention ) Maybe when they earn a Greed Dot certificate, players would get a bunch of free stuff in the game. In fact, the app itself could have a quick checklist for what to do if you are witnessing a crime.
And that idea, in turn, reminds me of this TED talk:The game layer on top of the world. "Seth Priebatsch shows how game dynamics are reshaping the world -- from a classroom where students "level up" instead of being graded, to a pervasive game called "happy hour" that you may already be playing. Get ready to meet the "game layer," a pervasive net of behavior-steering game dynamics that will reshape education and commerce." (Link: https://www.ted.com/talks/seth_prieb...p_of_the_world )
In other words: Although this particular article seems absurd, it does point to an undercurrent of interesting social dynamics emerging in the world today.

When Russia was the Soviet Union, they relentlessly produced anti-West propaganda documenting Jim Crow at the hands of Southern Democrats. Lynchings, cross burnings, the KKK, etc. These days we have Democrat Plantation cities which they document.
Democrats were upset about it then, just as they are upset about it now.
