The investigation already is looking at Democrats. Manafort only worked for Trump for a few months, after a decade of working with the Democrat led Podesta Group. All the crimes he's charged with happened while working with them, not Trump. How can the Democrats not be dragged into the investigation?
Manafort worked with Ukraine too. This is a smokescreen defense by conservatives who want to jail Hillary when Trump's cage is far dirtier.

John is no longer with the Podesta Group, he stepped down to run Hillary's campaign.

False. Tony Podesta is of interest to Mueller related to his ties to Manafort and Ukraine. John Podesta is not under investigation.
