The cities in those states tend to be cities where just a massive amount of people live in, due to several reasons (jobs, city life, etc). It's the same reason why cities now like Orlando, Miami, Tampa etc....all start to become relatively expensive compared to other parts of the state.
It's where the jobs are, and it's where people migrate to. That causes a high demand in homes/rentals....which drives up the cost. That amount of people also lead to more people that rely on city services (healthcare, schools, public transportation, law enforcement, etc)....which then leads to higher taxes.

Nothing in this country is as black or white as many believe. Arizona has what, less than 7 million people in the state? California has over 39 million. The day Arizona has over 39 million people, you'll quickly see how expensive Arizona becomes....and it won't be because of liberals.

Blaming the cost on liberal policies is a gross over simplification of what drives cost for the most part. Are some liberal policies to blame? Sure. But then again, in many southern states...conservative policies are the blame for their poor state. Again, nothing is so black or white in this country.
It should be all relative. The more people that move in, the more taxes should be coming in. Unless of course there are more people that are moving in that pay little or no taxes yet depend on government services. So yes I do blame Liberals in that regard. California has a huge problem with illegal invaders and is now officially designated a sanctuary state. Moonbeam Brown its current governor has proposed spending an additional 45 million dollars to provide services to them. California is also proposing single payer health care which would more than double the state budget. The money's gotta come from somewhere?

Quote:
The latest stop on this magical mystery tour of progressive health care plans is California, where U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) has been campaigning on behalf of a proposed state-run single-payer system. On Monday, state lawmakers in Sacramento got their first look at the price tag for the proposal, which rings in at a whopping $400 billion annually.

The Sacramento Bee notes that, even after accounting for an estimated $200 billion that could be saved by replacing current state-run health programs with the single-payer program, the state would still need to come up with $200 billion annually.

This year's state budget in California, by the way, is about $180 billion. That means that implementing a single-payer health care system would require doubling (at least) the state's current tax burden. The analysis of the health care proposal presented to lawmakers on Monday suggests a 15 percent increase to the state's payroll tax to provide the necessary revenue.
These are indeed Liberal ideas that someone will have to pay for. Liberal states provide more in government services to those who pay very little if anything into the system, that's a fact. Which raises the cost of living for all of those who are forced to pay for it. Those who pay little if anything into the system usually gravitate to the states that provide them with the most government services which increases the population of those states. That alone accounts for much of California's 39 million people. They've got more "takers" than "makers". It's nickname is "Mexifornia" because of it's overwhelming illegal impoverished Mexican and third world population. Somebody's gotta' house, feed, clothe, educate and take care of their medical needs. Liberals depend on a permanent underclass in order to maintain their power structure. Just as impoverished people become dependent on them for their every need and vote accordingly.

As for Arizona reaching 39 million people? There's just not enough water to sustain that amount of people.

I agree with you about housing prices which are indeed based on supply and demand.

As much as you would like to see it, forcing Trump, and even Pence, out of office isn't going to make Hillary (nor any other Democrat) POTUS.

Yep, just as we did for 10 years in Florida. As my Dad, born in NYC in 1919, used to say, "You can take the the boy out of NYC, but you will never take NYC out of the boy".

Cannot stop US Citizens from moving from one state to another for whatever reasons, and taking their political views with them.

But ok, let's play your game.
Since 9/11, your above totals to......
3131 in 16 years

In Texas alone, in 2015.....ONE YEAR ONLY....
1316 murders

In Florida alone, in 2015...ONE YEAR ONLY.....
1041 murders

In California alone, in 2015...ONE YEAR ONLY.....
1861 murders

So, in just ONE year, ONLY 3 states, at the hands of other americans, over 4k americans were murdered. ONE YEAR. Versus less than 4k over the course of 16 years for terrorist attacks, which also included outside terrorists (9/11 being an extreme outlier).

Don't get the facts twisted. You are more likely to die at the hands of another american than you are a terrorist, yet you fear the terrorist and want to ban all of that religious group from coming in here, but don't care to do much about the threat that will really affect you.
Again, you're letting the media tell you who to be afraid of, and you buy it, hook, line and sinker.
Re the bolded....you obviously haven't read very many of the posts written by the poster you are replying to above (NY_refugee87} if you truly believe that.

That's assuming that everyone born and raised in New York subscribes to the NYC way of thinking. I took my political views with me to Arizona as they are more in line with Arizonans way of thinking.

If Trump is forced out of office - it will be by establishment Republicans. Not Democrats.

Of course you won't. Obama & Hillary supported it and wanted to expand it.

How does one "support" existing law?

Has it been expanded?
