Almost as good as the Think Progress writer that complained that Trump didn't immediately call for the Vegas shooter to be sent to Gitmo. The Vegas shooter is already dead. If you remember, he was killed by police, so why would there need to be a trial, and sentencing?

The only part of the Constitution Trump and his followers support is the 2nd, and I'm not entirely convinced Trump even supports that part.
Guess what, the Constitution is a lot more than the 2nd amendment.
Im guessing he does not defend the 2nd in its entirety as it also requires the state militias to always have access to the same grade of weapons as Govt has, in case they ever have to remove them from power, it would be a fight they could win...look how that has worked out, how long would any militia last against the US military...and yet many people seem to agree with this..?? WTH?

Why use this argument if their goal isn't to ban guns from public ownership?
If they are trying to say that "well regulated miltia" means the founders meant only for the military to have guns, then they are outright lying when they say they only want "reasonable restrictions".
Never mind the fact that this can be easily debunked by pointing out that there are no historical records of that interpretation being enforced in any way.
Why would the founders think that something that is as obvious as the military's right to bear arms should be so important as to be listed second only to freedom of speech and then not enforce such a law ?
