People did vote. People voted for reformation of laws and now the elected official isn't following through.
Is the elected official breaking the law by not following through? Does the official have the authority to not follow through? Id this elected official in the position for life and cannot be voted out by any means?
What laws did people vote for? What law did the elected official violate? How is the elected official not able to be voted out during the next election?

Based on Fox news reports, I was bracing for the worst, but even in "leftist" California and NYC things seemed pretty peaceful. Not much of a turn out either. In Austin only two dozen showed up for the anti-facism rally -- the Trump supporters were MUCH louder.
