I would imagine a legislator who is truly anti-establishment wouldn't come from business or law. How about folks stop picking those backgrounds if you really want change? Sounds better than a bloody revolution.
I don't think that most people have an inkling of a) how the legal "profession" has built up a massive apparatus guaranteed to keep themselves at the heart of our totally corrupt System---consciously and by design; or b) how utterly corrupt our legal "profession" is (this is a huge field of people--not just lawyers, but related professors, law schools, the "justice" system, the law industry, trade organizations, etc.)
No, it's not likely to ever happen. It would require a coalition of states with the backing of a good portion of serious military assets, a clear objective, resources and means to maintain supply lines, the ability to take and hold territory, communication capability that could not just be cut off, in short, things that just can't happen. But it might make for an interesting work of fiction in the form of a very detailed novel.
I agree, it's unlikely. Things would have to get even worse than they already are (!!!)
But starting a revolution against England seemed crazy too.....
Problem is, the bad guys already won because the majority of people support the corruption. If this was 1776, they'd be on here defending the red coats.
But there has always been corruption and to find real corruption go back to the years just after the civil war because those guys could teach you a thing or two about corruption.
None of this is new.
While government is a necessity the bigger it gets the badder it gets.
Point well taken. With the internet so widely available, it has NEVER been easier to educate oneself. An hour a day for a few months, and one can truly become informed and aware. But what's the number one use of the internet??? (Hint, it starts with "porn.....")
Just saying.
So instead of religion being the opiate of the masses, now the internet is the opiate of the masses, and of course, opiates are the opiate of the masses.
