first this was FORTY YEARS AGO. second i am not assuming they are lying, however i do question the timing of their coming forward to tell their stories. as i said, moore has run for public numerous times over the years, and only now these girls are coming forward.
why should they be believed and not moore? how about when all the women came forward when clinton was running for president in 1992? why were they not to be believed?
or is it that when allegations of sexual harassment are made against liberals, the women are lying, but when they are made against conservatives they are telling the truth?
Moore's interview was as close to an admission as one could hope to get. Admitting that "generally no" if he dated teens and that he asked their mothers if he could date these girls show a profoundly disturbed individual. Yes, a vote for him is a vote for a perv, but Repubs and Trumpist seem fine with that. I can understand Bannon's support because he is a creep. For the rest of you, take it up with your conscience.
I was just thinking about that. Seems that all the guys in my high school were dating younger class girls. The older girls were dating guys who had graduated a couple of years before and were at the junior college. Some even older . . .
Moore has been reported as being known for dating young girls, so how common was this for him? If he was known then somewhere is there a covey of younger girls who were happy with the experience and, like Mary, kept these things in their heart?

He was 32 year old DA asking to date a14 or 16 year old!????
Even if it isn't true, those looking for attention often step forward.
In this age of social media and easy access to people's personal information no one wants this kind of attention. I would imagine this has turned these women's lives upside down, and not in a good way.

A wonderful article discussing why supporters of Moore still support him. The best (or maybe worst) part is the discussion of party leaders in Alabama who still support Roy Moore even if these allegations were true. It’s just a glimpse into the depraved mindset of his apologists, including those who post here. You have to wonder how many if his most vocal apologists are doing the same thing to teenagers...
You can see the reaction present day that ranged from Mary was also a teen to attempts at disparaging the girl. Just try to imagine the reaction back in the 1970’s against a judge, would you bring this up if you were in her place.
The fact that this thread exists at all should answer the question of why women are scared to come forward about sexual assault.
