Let's hear more please. That makes three in this admin that have benefitted from laundering money.
Its not any one president or administrations fault, this kind of thing has been going for many decades, US Govt was involved in some shady stuff with Panama back in the 70s and 80s. Its been well proven CIA was directly involved in drug trafficking as well, if it happened then, its happening now.
"The FACT Coalition, a watchdog group, contends that because of the financial secrecy laws in these states, the United States is now “the second easiest place in the world—after Kenya—for a criminal or terrorist to open an anonymous shell company to launder their money.” It’s easier to set up a shell company in some jurisdictions here, U.S. senator Sheldon Whitehouse says, than getting a library card: “A library may actually require you to show up in person and sign for your card.”
Unless there is more to this than what appears in this thin Newsweek story, I don’t see where Trump laundered money. He licsened his name to the project and got a cut of the sales, which I assume was part of the liscensing deal. If drug cartels bought and sold units there, isn’t it the cartels doing the laundering? I don’t see Trump doing anything illegal, unless there is some evidence he was directly involved with the cartels.
I’m certainly no Trump supporter, but stuff like this only supports his “fake news” BS and fuels the flames on his “the media treats me so unfairly” whining.
The Trump Administration is nothing more than a criminal enterprise run for, by and for the benefit of crooks.
Quite right.
Trump is a con man and a thief. He is surrounded by like-minded robber barons. They would steal the pension check from your grandmother without a moments hesitation.
