"Federal judges ruled Tuesday that North Carolina’s congressional district map drawn by legislative Republicans is illegally gerrymandered due to excessive partisanship that gave GOP a rock-solid advantage for most seats and must quickly be redone."

They have 2 weeks to redraw the map. I can't imagine someone having an issue with this (but of course some of you will prove me wrong)...

This is a step in the right direction. Gerrymandering is wrong when either party does it. It lets the representatives choose their voters instead of the other way around. I only hope more of the lawsuits that are out there on this issue are visited by the courts and ruled against in this undemocratic practice.

I could not agree more! We need more competitive districts in the country so that we get fewer extremists in the House and compromise will no longer be a dirty word.
