Listen to these 2 buffoons fake the fact that they are working on Friday and still full from Thanksgiving dinner. This was actually taped on Wednesday before they'd eaten anything at all. FAKE MSNBC NEWS.
This happens all the time with TV of all sorts *shrug* I watch the NY Ball drop at New Year’s “live” even though it really happened a couple of hours before. I mean, it can be kinda goofy, but these sorts of things don’t usually have a real detrimental effect.

That's reasonable, but it still doesn't indicate it was filmed on a wednesday.
OP might be shocked to find that the don't film a new Wheel Of Fortune every day too.
I assumed the OP read or heard that the show was pre-recorded, which wouldn’t be the end of the world. Pretty risky for a news show though, unless the plan was to just talk about a weekly roundup of news instead of what happened overnight. I never watch this show, but it seems likely they could do that without raising any eyebrows. It’s not the evening news. It’s a round table discussion of politics.
