How does anyone read stuff like this and think this guy is intelligent or competent?

I think he was talking about the F-35 which is not invisible, at least as far as I am aware.

If they are invisible the US needs to tell air traffic control.

Trump first startled reporters with talk of an invisible plane in October, when he discussed the F-35 at a military briefing in hurricane-hit Puerto Rico.

“Amazing job,” Trump said then. “So amazing we are ordering hundreds of millions of dollars of new airplanes for the air force, especially the F-35. You like the F-35? ... You can’t see it. You literally can’t see it. It’s hard to fight a plane you can’t see.”

Trump gives a whole new meaning to the dumbing down of America.

In all seriousness, he was trying to comment on F-35s stealth capabilities and range/multitasking technology that enables it to take out multiple targets from significant distances before opponents can engage it in battle.

But he hears something, doesn't understand it, and doesn't have the intellectual ability to reason critically at a very high level. So he ends up bull****ting his way through press conferences with fantastic comments about how it's "invisible when it's right next to you." And he's President, so everyone in the room will just look at the floor and bite their tongues.

Classic Trump.

Don't you all realize, that though Trump is president, Trump still gets his information from the "shows" and movies. It is only in Trumpworld where his "big brain" is taken literally. Most know it to be a pea brain.

Ah, I don't care what the tape says, it is fake news. He didn't say these things.

Yes, let's stick our heads in the sand! A good Trump-approved strategy.

i see this as someone just stirring the pot, to cause trouble, you can see he was talking about a radar invisible plane, which it is.

A free flow of words no matter how disjointed and incoherent is apparently better than audible pauses that indicate a person is actually thinking about what they are saying.
