If you genuinely think this is smoke and mirrors/tempest in a teapot/pick your analogy you're gonna have a bad time. He got hit with nothing charges because dude is gonna sing like a canary. Until he has a horrible polonium accident...

Let me translate, "Move along nothing to see here."

...except the indictments coming down the line.

Why not wait and see what Flynn says before we conclude anything? After all, that's the whole point of an investigation, isn't it? Simply talking to someone in Russia, after all, is not illegal. Even if Trump asked Flynn to contact them, maybe Flynn didn't do so. Then, where's the illegality? Sure, Trump might have WANTED to get Russian help, but if he didn't actually do it, then no wrongdoing occurred, at least legally. Politically that's another matter, but the proper way to settle that is via the election in 2020, not via a criminal investigation. Of course, maybe Trump's guilty like the lefties say he is. The point is, we don't really know anything yet, so maybe we should just step back and wait until we do.
You do know it isn't only "lefties" saying he is guilty? There are plenty in the middle and the right that think he is rotten to the core and guilty.

As far as "no tie ins to Trump" - not sure where you are coming from, read the text of the offense. The entire document is referencing Flynn's tie-ins to the Trump campaign, and Flynn's admitted lies in that regard.

Text of the statement of offense is here.

This is just the beginning. This investigation will take years, as it should. Interference with US elections is criminal act of the very highest order, and the people deserve to have a thorough accounting; whether it is exoneration or the bringing of criminal charges.

What's the over/under on Flynn having a sudden bout with polonium?

For those that don't get the reference:

Flynn et al. were in touch with the Russians prior to the inauguration.
