I remember a time when another loud activist minority had to fight to not be discriminated against.

Ask Maurice Bessinger how refusing service to people worked out for him.

Oh boo hoo poor Christians. You are so persecuted because you don't get to torture and brutally murder everyone who doesn't believe in your mythology exactly the way you do (you just bully them into doing it themselves). Cry me a f*cking river!

I liked these quotes from the transcript posted by another poster earlier in the thread:

JUSTICE KENNEDY: Well, but this whole concept of identity is a slightly — suppose [the baker] says: Look, I have nothing against — against gay people. He says but I just don’t think they should have a marriage because that’s contrary to my beliefs. It’s not -

MR. COLE: Yeah

KENNEDY: It’s not their identity; it’s what they’re doing.

MR. COLE: Yeah.

JUSTICE KENNEDY: I think it’s — your identity thing is just too facile.

Kennedy also said the following:

KENNEDY: Counselor, tolerance is essential in a free society. And tolerance is most meaningful when it’s mutual. It seems to me that the state in its position here has been neither tolerant nor respectful of [the baker's] religious beliefs.

This is the foundation of “civil rights” laws.

A Nation filled with civil rights laws can not have individual liberty.

Yes, I also remember MLK marching for the right to use coupons at stores not listed as participating in the special sale on aluminum foil.

Please tell me you’re not comparing the “right to not be slightly inconvenienced” to cities forcing black people to use seperate facilities.

That is why I seek to dismantle the phony civil rights movement of the Left. It's gone beyond King's dream and into a nightmare he could never have imagined! I know Dr. King for one would want this crap put down and, if the Democrats hadn't killed him, he'd be here right now fighting against it himself!

Considering that the Left views not letting men who call themselves women as the above, I actually want to stop their phony civil rights train before it goes that far as I'm sure that will be their eventual "justification" for imposing it on us via judicial fiat.

Then Kennedy is going against previous rulings including the Piggy Park case. Maurice wasn't anti-black, he was anti-mixing of the races. He claimed religious belief in his case and lost.

It's like saying "I'm not anti-Christian, I'm just against people who go to church" Or "I'm not anti-woman I just am anti-women making purchases" It can be used for anything.

Maurice Bessenger. He would sell to blacks, but not inside the restaurant. He lost his case against anti-discrimination laws, even though it was just an inconvenience that blacks couldn't sit down to eat.
