When a woman carries a pregnancy and gives birth she is risking her health and her life, men don't risk anything so they don't get a choice, period.
Exactly. When was the last time a man died during child birth? A man has a choice to not get a woman pregnant. Keep your pants on if you don't want the financial responsibility of a child.

Something that is hardly mentioned.......most men breathe a sigh of relief when the woman aborts because they didn't want a child either.

Sorry, there is nothing equal about the woman taking all of the risks and the man risking nothing.

Women and men are held equally responsible for financially caring for the child.

If the man has custody the woman has to pay child support just like men do.

In addition to what you've said I want to point out that a lot Pro-Life supporters and some religious groups believe the morning after pill IS a form of ABORTION and should not be allowed. If you believe that life begins at conception then the morning after pill could be killing a fertilized egg in their eyes.

Safe, legal and rare is the sane and compassionate road to be on and I am encouraged by the results of this poll (above) that my opinion on that is the opinion of the majority of people.
You're right, there's also people that believe we shouldn't celebrate Christmas, people's birthdays etc, etc, etc. There's people that believe they and theirs shouldn't associate or even talk to people who think or believe differently than they do.
There's zealots on all sides of any subject, I try to take a moderate stance and as best I can think like I'd want to be treated were I faced with a situation.

I once had a girl friend who got pregnant several times (not from me) and (as she explained to me after I asked if she was on the pill) no, she would go water skiing when she found out as shooting/pounding water "up there" at ski speed removed the problem.

All I could do was shake my head.
As a side note no, she never told her boyfriend at the time why she wanted to go skiing...

Abortion does not murder babies.

If a fetus was considered to be a baby, you would be able to claim them as dependents on your tax returns and fathers would be required to pay child support from the date of conception.

Well if she gets to make all the decisions then it's all on her!

Who is "she" and why is it you think posters here determine child support for hypothetical couples?

Then why doesn't the women accept 100% of the responsibility for birth control? Why doesn't she say no to sex?

Why does she only demand 100% responsibility AFTER sex?

I hate this topic.

Such an unpleasant way to close out the year — screeching at total strangers about abortion. We need to give it a rest...
