Millennials aren't satisfied with capitalism — and might prefer a socialist country, studies find

Set up a system were people who want to take part in socialism sign up for a membership card to take part in it or something like that.

They want it when someone else is footing the bill. If they have to pay their own way, forget it.

It’s like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet saying they have too much money but waiting to die before giving it to the Gates Foundation instead of the government. They could give most of it to the government now, but they like their money and don’t trust the government to spend it responsibly.

Sure, but I also think we should have voluntary "sovereign citizenship." These types don't have to pay any taxes, but also are forbidden from: using our roads, using our schools, being helped by the police, having access to safe food and medicine, as well as clean air and water. The military should also offer them no protection, so they can enjoy the Ayn Rand hellhole they so dream about.

As for socialism, given how almost nobody on the far-right has any idea of what it actually is vs. what right-wing talk radio tells them it is, I don't think the far-right is qualified to speak on this topic.

You have a point. Socialist and communist would know more about it, maybe.

Lets ask the people in Venezuela and see how high they peg on the happy meter.

The interesting thing about your point is that they made their money because of capitalism. They are capitalists when it comes to their ability to profit from their business.

You pick one of the worst socialist countries as an example. It's like saying, look at Somalia if you want to see an example of capitalism at it's finest!

Better examples of socialism would be Sweden and Denmark.

People won't voluntarily pay for oppression. They have to be forced. Sweden, and Denmark are terrible examples as they are very small countries that until Muslim immigration were relatively homogenous. Different society, culture, and size than the U.S. Immigration is forcing a change in demographics, and ultimately will cause a breakdown in their system. It is unsustainable.

There is. You can send your entire paycheck to the IRS if you want to. The question is, will you?

Lightbulb Why can't we just have voluntary socialism ?

We already have socialism.

The US economic system at present is socialism for the wealthy and capitalism for the rest of us.

CEOs, executives, and investors don't "compete" with 3rd world counterparts.

That's reserved for workers.

This is true. Cultural homogeneity is a factor.

The US also indirectly subsidizes much of Europe's defense needs. This allows countries like Sweden, Denmark, Germany, to allot more of their budgets to safety net programs.
