The announcer broke in on another topic to show a video, apparently live, where he said the Senate had just passed the Tax Reform Bill pushed by President Trump and most Republicans. He said the vote was 51 for, 48 against. Naturally all Democrats voted against it. John McCain (R-AZ) was absent, having gone back to Arizona to recover from his recent cancer surgery.
As I understand it, this bill was ALMOST identical to the one passed a few days ago by the House. They found a few passages in the House bill, that conflicted slightly with past Federal law (but wouldn't this bill simply supersede them?), so they made a few "minor changes" to the one in the Senate, voted on it, and passed it.
Now it has to go back to the House for another vote, due to those "minor changes". None of the House or Senate leaders seem to be worried about those changes, they feel the House will vote for the slightly modified version, thus producing the result of both houses voting for identical versions of the bill. If they do, then the bill is ready to be signed into law by President Trump. He has indicated that he will do so.
Are you tired of Winning, yet?
Doing things other Presidents only promised and failed to deliver.
This guy is filling campaign promise after campaign promise. No wonder the Democrats are flipping chit.
They think everyone is bailing on the guy, that supported him, as they watch him fulfill his promises he made.
The Democrats are going to get desperate now. This is the dangerous moment.
Our taxes have an end date, corporations don't. Someone has to pay for the deficit so I guess it falls on the middle class. That's not winning to me. I'm sure democrats will fix this in the next election.
Any evidence or references to back up your sullen assertions?
Or are you just spewing the normal vaporings and wishful thinking?
Simple. Based on most polls showing a democratic majority in 2018. Show me where you wishful thinking says this law lasts more than one year? You can't.

Well then it's up to the party in power to extend it just as they did with the Bush tax cuts even though Democrats claimed and b*tched for years that the Bush tax cuts was only for the rich.
Class warfare, fueled by economic ignorance, is the principal component of the Democrats' stock in trade.
