Where are the convictions? Lets look at facts. Not even one year into Trump's presidency there are already two confessions and two convictions with two more indictments. Did that happen under Obama for 8 years? Of course. Here's a list of convictions:
David Patraeus. (R) Two years probation and a fine of 100k for providing classified information to Lieutenant Colonel Paula Broadwell. I guess they took bedroom talk to a new level.
Chaka Fattah. (D) Convicted of racketeering by misappropriating funds to further his career. He was sentenced to ten year.
Michael Grimm.(R) Plead guilty to felony tax evasion. He was sentenced to 8 months in prison.
Trey Radel. (R) Possession of cocaine. Sentenced to one year probation and fined $250.
Rick Renzi. (R) Guilty of wire fraud. money laundering, conspiracy, extortion, racketeering, and making false statements to insurance regulators.
Jesse Jackson (D) Convicted of drunk driving. Fined $250 and a one year suspension of his license.
Mike Crapo (R) Another drunk driver with the same fine and suspension.
Laura Richardson (D) Convicted of violating house rules by improperly using her staff to campaign for her, destroying evidence, and tampering with witness testimony. Fined 10k
Mark Fuller. District Judge found guilty of domestic violence. Forced to resign and sentenced to 24 weeks of family and domestic training.
Months into the Trump administration.
Flynn pleads guilty to lying to the FBI and wants immunity because he has a story to tell.
Don Jr. says "I love it" in an email about meeting with the Russians to obtain information on Clinton.
Papadopoulos pleads guilty to lying about having Russian contacts and a top aid to the Trump campaign knew about that contact.
During the campaign under Manafort now indicted for money laundering, conspiracy and other charges, the Republican party changed it's platform under Trump to soften language against Russia's annexation of Crimea. Manafort and Gates were paid by Moscow to promote their will in Ukraine. Why were they part of Trump's campaign? Why did the GOP change it's platform to gut the anti-Russian stance on Ukraine?
So we have nine convictions in the Obama administration in 8 years. Was it ideal? of course not. Does it compare with what's going on in the Trump administration and republican party in the less then one year Trump has been in office? I say no.
