Is it "morally acceptable" to receive a gift?
I've given and received gifts my entire life - they were neither "payment, asked for, demanded or earned".
What exactly is the OP's question about?
Sounds like Anti-Christmas gift exchanges or something.
I get dividends from companies I never worked for, & I am happy to deposit them. I, or other family members worked hard, to save the money, to buy the stocks.
I will thank anyone who wants to give me some money. I certainly would not take it from a poor person, but a poor person would not be on the giving end.
Nothing immoral about accepting a money gift. I give a little gift of money to some friends who help me, I can't thank them enough.
I'm sure you've done nothing but work every second of every day while you are at work. So you never got paid a penny for time spent, oh, I don't know, posting on an internet forum. Is that what you meant?
