Sorry, but you are the one who said we should undo foreign policy which has worked for 70 years.

Your answer is a cop out.
Your opinion looks like a 911 call for a possible suicide.

I really wonder when they will get it...He tells the lemmings the NY Times is fake news...but he craves it's approval as he's from NYC and realizes anyone worth a damned in this nation recognizes the grey lady as the paper of the record.

So what do you like so much about our foreign policy of the last 70 years? The Korean war? Viet Nam? Laos? Cambodia? Panama? Iran? Iraq? Afghanistan? Libya? Somalia? Syria? 9/11? Trillions of dollars and upwards of 100,000 dead Americans?

Can't help but wonder at the liberals that have attacked our foreign policy for 70 years that are now such great supporters now that we finally have someone willing to change it.

Now, everyone needs to be think about this.

The post-war international system is being undermined by a political neophyte of limited intelligence and curiosity with a supersized ego.

A man who pretends to be a great negotiator but winds up getting nothing for all he gives away.

That the system WE built is being put under stress not by the Chinese or the Russians but by Trump, a carnival barking, reality TV scam artist who knows or who cares to know nothing about the international system that sustains us.

This will all end badly for us. Trump considers himself a wrecking ball. Trump is like a drunk behind the wheel of that wrecking ball because he has no idea what he is doing and has it aimed at us. He will just leave us in tatters.
Trump is right and you're dead wrong.

We need to go back to our policy of staying out of other people's business and withdraw from useless NATO & worse than useless UN.

It has been very rare that each seventy year period has not brought "unprecedented prosperity" in contrast with the previous period.

Periods of war and disease are just about the only periods wherein this has not occurred.

Liberals have a bad habit of taking credit for everything natural that occurs while they are flapping their lips.

By your logic, the technology that gave us the prosperity of rockets and jets is also due to you. In reality, it was tech of the Nazis.

What else do you plan to take credit for? The printing press? Computers? How about the monetary system itself? Is the prosperity that you speak of, which is based in this system, really prosperity or is it a house of cards that is built on the monetary system that almost brought the world economy down about a decade ago?

This prosperity is based in world trade, which only works due to this destructive monetary system that obviously not only is extremely dangerous to handle, but is regularly used to completely subvert weaker nations, build bombs that kill millions, and create synthetic fertilizers that have allowed the world's population to balloon to unthinkable numbers.

That prosperity?

Liberals are essentially taking credit for building a giant gun and pointing it at the world's head that it helped to inflate to a gigantic size.

Sounds both reasonable and unemotional (sarcasm).

If you sell your soul for a bag of gold, then you will eventually have nothing.

Liberals: always worried about what the world (the mob) thinks of them, similar to teenagers, rather than being interested in doing what is right.

Wait, aren't you the guys who yammer on about all of the ills of high population numbers, international imperialism, and climate issues?

Those issues are 100% powered by the "prosperity" that the greed of the international merchants (burghers, bourgeois , etc) have brought to us.

Since this was a "secure conference room of the Joint Chiefs of Staff," I think we have another felony leak.

This appears to have been nothing but a discussion. Isn't a president allowed to have secure, intellectual and energetic policy discussions that challenge the status quo?

If all we are just doing just blindly following some status quo, simply because that's how we always did it, but we no longer know why we do it, and cannot defend our position. Then maybe we our status quo is flawed or has out run it's usefulness.

Trump won the election because people were sick and tired of the status quo. I think you're jumping the gun by assuming it will end badly. I'll admit, I'm very concerned, but the alternative - a known corrupt member of the good 'ol boy network (yes, I'm talking about HRC) was equally unpalatable. We live in interesting times.
