Around 240,000 were not accepted, out of around 12 million.[our country needed immigrants, we still do, we don't need illegals]
Often the vetting consisted of looking for illness and other phyical difficulties--the ill, poor physique, feeble minded, etc.[potential wards of the state] were not accepted, literacy tests, puzzles, memory tests, etc.--if 16-year old or older couldn't read test words in their own language, etc., they weren't accepted, if immigration exceeded 3% of any given country, people from those countries were no longer accepted.[laws varied by time periods]

It appears that we did have good vetting programs back then [though some did sneak through illegally, using bribes, etc], compared to Obama's "lean and lite" low vetting/no vetting DACA process. Most DACA's were not vetted, period.

Only about 1/3 were 6-years old or younger, the rest were older--up into the mid-teens.

Silva is an idiot.

From [hard left] Snopes..

"Trump's children weren't born to mothers with questionable immigration statuses and thus wouldn't have been affected by his proposed plan."

Re: Ivana "It’s likely the Trumps settled any lingering immigration matters during the time between their marriage and Trump Jr.’s birth in late 1977."

Re: Melania "While her citizenship status from that point in time forward was not publicly disclosed,.......Their son Barron was born in March 2006, more than a year after the Knauss-Trump wedding (and again, within the United States to an American citizen father)."

"But even if Trump wasn’t married to the mothers of his children at the time of their births (he was), and their immigration statuses appeared to be in dispute (of which we could find no indication), all four of the five Trump children born to immigrant mothers were born inside the United States to an American citizen father. As such, even Trump’s strict proposal against birthright citizenship would be unlikely to affect the statuses of his own children had they been born under it."

I'm amazed that people believe the line that most of them were only six when they came here. As if people crossing illegally make sure to pack their children's birth certificates and dental records! What percentage of Mexico and Central's America's poor are even born in hospitals?

Obviously they would tell us anything to garner sympathy and stay here, just like the line that they're all high-achieving students earning advanced degrees and starting future blue chip companies.

As was the case throughout the presidential campaign, more Americans continue to oppose (62%) than favor (35%) building a wall along the entire U.S. border with Mexico. And while President Donald Trump has said the U.S. would make Mexico pay for the wall, the public is broadly skeptical: 70% think the U.S. would ultimately pay for the wall, compared with just 16% who think Mexico would pay for it.
Most Americans continue to oppose U.S. border wall | Pew Research Center

Most Americans don’t want the wall, don’t think Mexico will pay for it and don’t believe it will happen
About 3 in 10 respondents say they do want a wall, including 72 percent of Trump voters. But only 29 percent of independents and 6 percent of Democrats support the wall.

Utter nonsense. Only bleeding heart liberals and ethnocentrics don't want the wall. The wall being proposed is for only 700 miles on our most porous areas of the border and it was already approved by congress back in 2006. I don't care who pays for it because a $25 billion wall is a lot cheaper than the over $100 billion a year that illegals cost us. I already posted a couple of links several times denoting how well the good walls work.

Exactly! The parents of these DACAs moved here not knowing the language and culture of our country, didn't they?

Your words are hollow, Oldglory.

No they aren't hollow. Just because our government hasn't always been kind to our own citizens doesn't mean that they shouldn't be instead of giving our taxes away to illegal aliens.

They were kids when they came here. Daca isn't people in their 30's.

What difference does it make? Kids adapt better than adults do. Besides, only 1/3 of them came here under the age of 6. Many of them are adults now and their parents came here as adults and adapted, didn't they? They didn't even know the language or culture of this country either. These DACAs certainly know the culture and language of their country. In fact, the Hispanic culture is alive and well in this country so what's there to adjust to in their own homelands?

No they don't because this is their home, the only one they have known. If we get rid of illegals we will have a labor shortage.
