Too strict. As long as they meet current requirements and come here legally, they should be welcome. In other words, engaged to marry an American--and provide zillions of information and documentation, sponsorship, pay all the expensive fees=fiance visa. Married to an American, etc. Parent of an American citizen. Have a job waiting for them, sponsored. Maybe there are a few more methods, but they are already in place and only need to be ENFORCED.

I say build a “big, beautiful” wall and if you came here illegally and haven’t committed a crime since then you need to pay a fine, pay any taxes that are owed, and then you can apply for citizenship. Problem solved.
