London and Britain are breathing a sigh of relief.
But the real reasons he canceled are that: (1) London has a Muslim mayor who Trump has criticized, and (2) Trump is afraid of being poisoned. Poor baby.
He should be more afraid of Putin having him poisoned once his usefulness comes to an end.

Rex Tillerson will open the new Embassy.
Trump changed his mind because there was going to be no pomp and pagentry, and no events planned.
Trump is very unpopular outside of the US, and political leaders including Theresa May want to try and keep photo opportunities with him to a minimum given his toxic tweets.

The new Embassy at Nine Elms has state of the art security and lots of room compared to the Grosvenor Square site, and it will have a new Tube Station nearby once the Northern Line Extension is complete.
Nine Elms is just across the river from Pimlico in the borough of Westminster as well as Chelsea so it's hardly that out of the way.

We are losing to China because of the Left’s desire to move our country to a global economy, started by Clinton and expanded by Obama. China didn’t suddenly get rich on November 9th 2016 (day after Trump got elected).
And no, he is not scared of the Brits or protests despite what that obviously biased media outlet wrote (what the hell is The Independent?).
So basically you're arguing that:
US becoming a global economy is why we are losing!!
China becoming a global economy is why they are winning!!
Well then, if you're right then the problem is not global economy, since it benefits China so much. The problem then is us!!!
And that is exactly my point. The problem is some of us are dragging this country behind. Start with the Republican party.

On this day in 1984, President Ronald Reagan arrives in China for a diplomatic meeting with Chinese President Li Xiannian. The trip marked the second time a U.S. president had traveled to China since President Richard Nixon’s historic trip in 1972. Reagan’s trip highlighted his administration’s desire to improve diplomacy with China in light of the growing economic relationship between the two nations. He is not going to England because they do not want him there. They don't like him. They don't want to see his face or hear his voice. I also read that he didn't think there was enough 'Pomp' so he cancelled.
I wish he would just move there...enough already.

London mayor: Trump ‘got the message’ that he’s not welcome here
Quote:
London Mayor Sadiq Khan celebrated the news that President Trump would not be visiting the city, saying Trump had "got the message" from Londoners who "have made it clear that Donald Trump is not welcome here."
"It appears that President Trump got the message from the many Londoners who love and admire America and Americans but find his policies and actions the poor opposite of our city's values of inclusion, diversity and tolerance," Khan said in a statement Friday.
"His visit next month would without doubt have been met by mass peaceful protests," Khan continued, adding he hopes that Trump "also revisits the pursuit of his divisive agenda.
