Watch a documentary called "Vanishing Ice". Yes, global warming is real. The interests trying to bend the truth are engaged in what I call environmental rape.
It used to snow three feet every winter(at least) here in Washington state in the 60's, 70's, and 80's, but not anymore. All one must do is look around, and extrapolate from what they see.
There is also this wonderful guest on "Coast to Coast" who says global warming is real. I must find his name and re-post.

So what about the ice increasing in Antarctica? How about all the "global warming" research boats that get stuck in the ice there and have to get rescued? So you base your thoughts on a few decades of WEATHER, and want economic hardship for people that can't afford higher energy, and product costs?
The scientists behind this refused to divulge their method of arriving at their conclusions. Other scientists then had to work backwards to disprove their theory. That is not how science is suppose to work.
Your understanding is incomplete at best. Prior to the industrial age, the highest CO2 level in the last million or so years was below 300ppm. We are over 400ppm now. There are exponential rates of increase of CO2 in the atmosphere--and the levels continue to increase at unprecedented rates. We are on track to exceed 900ppm by the end of this century if increases continue in the same manner. Something that is fact is that the small increases in CO2 the earth experienced prior to industrialization led to measurable (albeit small) increases in temperature. There is a relationship between increases in CO2 in the atmosphere and increases in average climate temperature. One causes the other.
But the effects of increased CO2 also is lowering the Ph of the oceans. The oceans are becoming more acidic, which is not a good thing. Really.
3 million years ago, CO2 levels were close to the levels we are seeing now. And our oceans were ~80 feet higher than today.
We are NOT experiencing only natural increases in CO2 levels. We ARE impacting the earth in ways that should be a concern. There are global consequences to this.
" the highest CO2 level in the last million or so years was below 300ppm"
Who measured it and with what equipment "in the last million years"?
You left out the money factor. Scientists have been paid to come up with certain conclusions. Look at early research into smoking. Those scientists were paid to come to the conclusion that smoking was not harmful. The original research into artificial sweeteners was flawed, but backed up by other scientists. The first research on saccharine said that it caused cancer. Turned out that rats were being fed the equivalent of a human drinking gallons of straight saccharine daily. When they got normal amounts, there was no cancer increase. Several climate scientists have said that they were offered money(grants) to back man-made global warming. Drugs are turned out every year that are dangerous because company-owned scientists are paid to fake or ignore results.
You can go back a few hundred years, the churches pressured scientists to agree with their beliefs.
And many like to ignore the "scientist's" email scandal!

Nice.
You may want to reconsider any suppositions that ice is increasing in Antarctica.

Except actual temperature measurements over the past two decades confirm the original trend that was predicted.
An independent assessment of Mann's hockey stick was conducted by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (Wahl 2007). They reconstructed temperatures employing a variety of statistical techniques (with and without principal components analysis). Their results found slightly different temperatures in the early 15th Century. However, they confirmed the principal results of the original hockey stick - that the warming trend and temperatures over the last few decades are unprecedented over at least the last 600 years.
