He could end up disbarred or in prison.

The IRS views this type of tax evasion as the pond scum of tax evasion because these people are stealing not only from the govt, but from their own employees in the form not only of their federal tax withholding, but also their social security contributions which effect their future social security collections.

Not sure what their current practice is, but in the past IRS used to go out and chain businesses like this closed.

Given that he has elevated his profile nationally, he is now a prime candidate for the IRS to make an example out of him.

The US tax system is based on voluntary compliance which relies on all US citizens believing that everyone pays their fair share.

When someone high profile doesn't, the IRS loves nothing more than making an example out of them.

Yes there are rules and there are layers of rules regarding taxes when it comes to bankruptcy. Its complex.

The only one I know for sure is if a lien has been filed the tax cant be discharged.

WTH is all this crazy talk about Avenatti and taxes?

If he does owe taxes, so what? Millions of people in this country have IRS trouble.

Is the IRS putting liens on all his assets and bank accounts?

If the IRS is NOT putting liens on all his assets, then he has made payment arrangements and is
IN COMPLIANCE.
There are millions of people who owe the IRS taxes AND ARE IN COMPLIANCE. They are free to go about their lives as long as they remain IN COMPLIANCE.

Even late-filed returns - of which millions are guilty of - do not result in anything other than financial penalties for filing late.

Problems develop when INCOME IS NOT REPORTED TO THE IRS.

NOT REPORTING INCOME IS TAX FRAUD.

Just because Avenatti owes the IRS money, if he does, does NOT render him incredible or NONCOMPLIANT.

Further, this is 2018. Tax returns for 2018 are not due until APRIL 2019.

Therefore, there is NO UNDECLARED INCOME.

What garbage on this thread. Complete and total assinine INACCURATE assumptions drawn out of sheer desperation.

The old adage - sleep with dogs, get fleas. Those who have associated with Donald Trump are flea-ridden (and very ignorant), that is for sure.

I don't understand your question.

The IRS so far sent him a bill.

And apparently they put a lien on the businesses.

There's a process and they will follow it. Just because they are not yet at a point of prosecuting Avenatti does not mean they will not eventually be there. The IRS is not going to release private info on a taxpayer untile they take them to court.

If Avenatti didn't owe the bill or discharged it either via Tax Court or Bankruptcy, he would be able to show that. There would be a notice or a court settlement doc. Either there is not or he chooses not to share it......you decide.

HE doesn't
A company that he apparently once owned an interest in failed to pay payroll taxes
And INCORPORATED company or an LLC shields the owners--as Trump would know

Avenatti didn't say he was in compliance.

He said he didn't owe the taxes.

He has provided no proof of that.

Everything you said is hooey...........to be nice.

Oh, that's been done today as well. When I read unrelenting and never-ending ignorance, the ignore list gets another name.
