The democrats are unwilling to pass a clean bill, insisting instead for DACA and other non-budgetary provisions. Supposedly the democrats do not oppose any one thing in the bill, but they oppose the bill. The economy is doing really well right now under Trump. My guess is that the democrats are refusing to cooperate because they want to slow down the economy. They know nothing can pass the Congress without at least 9 democrats in the Senate voting with the republicans. My gut tells me this won't last very long. The democrats will start feeling the pressure and give it up. Of course the extreme left wing will be furious when that happens.

Hopefully until DACA is resolved once and for all. Just hope the democrats don’t cave. No matter how long it takes

Uh huh......

The Republican Party controls the Presidency, Congress, and the Supreme Court...but it's those darn Democrats who shut the government down.

How many conservative fairy tales are going to be told about the Republican failure to fund the federal government?

Schumer and the Dems took healthcare away from US Citizen children because they prioritize illegal aliens over US Citizens.

Remember that in the voting booth at the 2018 midterms.

since the bill required 60 votes in the senate to pass, and the democrats voted in lock step, even if the republicans voted in lock step, it still would not have passed the senate. and shummer said he would block the bill from passing to shut down the government.

Maybe the POTUS needs to keep his word.

Back to the original post as long as the GOP refuses to negotiate in good standing.
