I don't think he was suckering anybody. Trump was awkward when discussing matters of faith. Then again, he never really tried to hide who he was.

The Bible is full of God using less than perfect men...in fact, of God using unholy, sinful men, towards His purpose. King David is the most obvious of these.
Well, it's a matter of magnitude.
Trump's actions and behavior covers all of the Seven Deadly Sins. So there is virtually NOTHING that suggests he is even a little worthy of being honorable. He has practically never asked for forgiveness nor admitted fault.
And I've seen the example of King David as a perfect example for evangelicals to justify their support of Trump in a cheap way for political reasons.
I thought the libs were all for anything goes from a sex standpoint, especially when it is a (D) in office. But let there be a whiff of something (they themselves would engage in or approve of) claimed against an (R), and they want to vilify them.
The hypocrisy knows no bounds with leftists.
If Trump was having an affair with a prostitute, as far as I'm concerned that's a private matter and none of my business, just like Bill Clinton having sex with Monica Lewinsky was none of my business.
Where Clinton went wrong (in my book) was lying to Congress and the public about it. And where Trump may have gone wrong is in lying, and paying Ms Daniels $130,000 in hush money.
Apart from Biblical mandates such as "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone..." (John 8:7), Christians recognize that God establishes leaders on Earth and that we are to pray for them.
I am a Christian and I voted for Trump. For one thing, we are all sinners. His sins are the same as my sins in the eyes of the Lord. It is not up to me to judge his sins; I have my own to worry about.
Furthermore, Trump promised to champion Christian liberty In the US in a way Hillary did not and would not.
What kind of Christian liberty are you currently lacking?
It's their own personal "get out of jail free" card. They can claim that it's wrong to "cast the first stone" against one of the members of their tribe, they can also claim they are persecuted for their own beliefs, and the kicker is they can discriminate against Muslims and gays.
The Christian right in this country is as fraudulent as the man they elected President.
Let them know.
Get that over to the RNC so they do the change. That's the way to grow the Dems big tent party.

The problem is why do they care ? Personally I don't care if he had a steady stream of escorts going in and out of the White house, I could care less what his sexual preferences are. Sure it is a bummer that was married when he did it, but not a single one of us knows what kind of an arrangement he and Melania have.

But why not? Based on your comments, Christians should view Hitler the same as Mother Theresa. You claimed all sins are equal, so it's irrelevant if Trump violates everything in the Bible, right? Hitler and Mother Theresa were both sinners.

No, but he's, by far, the worst violator of Christian teachings, and the Ten Commandments. He's basically the opposite of Jesus' teachings. If I voted based on Jesus, Trump would basically be the worst candidate in American Presidential history.

You honestly believe God us "using" Trump? God has "plans" to sexually assault women, terrorize immigrants, incinerate children in the Middle East, demonize foreigners, kill the poor, enrich the wealthy, and poison the planet? This is not any recognizable God from the Christian Bible.
