A young boy died at the hands of a grown man. A vigilante who should have been minding his business but assumed a young black boy was up to no good in his neighborhood after running to get skittles and a drink
Actually he was getting ingredients to Sizzurp...AND the altercation ended, Obama's son went on his way, got mad and went BACK to confront him...
A good politician doesn't let a good tragedy go to waste.
Note: a good politician isn't necessarily a good person.
Note 2: I am definitely not saying Trump is a good politician. By all accounts, he's absolutely ****. But I'm not going to say he's wrong for exploiting a tragedy. Only an idiot wouldn't, in his position.
So, why doesn’t Trump ever highlight any of the good works immigrants produce?
You mean, during tragedies why doesn't he talk about the good work that immigrant doctors and professors and scientists do? How would that be relevant to the subject at hand?
Wasn't Dan Rather fired from CBS for lying about President Bush with fake documents? And didn't he also lose a lawsuit over it too?
So why does his "opinion" about Trump matter?
No, I don't think so. You can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Rather got into trouble by accidentally being duped by fake documents - which is an entirely different thing.
Rather's opinion would matter because he's an intelligent, experienced, widely respected guy - unlike most of the Trump supporters among journalists.

I recall a figure in Germany that learned the art of exploiting tragedy to turn it's own people against it's minority for the sake of gaining power.
