Chinese billionaire Jack Ma says the US wasted trillions on warfare instead of investing in infrastructure:

Jack Ma, Chairman of Alibaba Group at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Alibaba's Jack Ma: Today technology can empower small businesses
2:23 PM ET Wed, 18 Jan 2017 | 02:31
Alibaba founder Jack Ma fired a shot at the United States in an interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Ma was asked by CNBC's Andrew Ross Sorkin about the U.S. economy in relation to China, since President-elect Donald Trump has been talking about imposing new tariffs on Chinese imports.

Ma says blaming China for any economic issues in the U.S. is misguided. If America is looking to blame anyone, Ma said, it should blame itself.

"It's not that other countries steal jobs from you guys," Ma said. "It's your strategy. Distribute the money and things in a proper way."
He said the U.S. has wasted over $14 trillion in fighting wars over the past 30 years rather than investing in infrastructure at home.

To be sure, Ma is not the only critic of the costly U.S. policies of waging war against terrorism and other enemies outside the homeland. Still, Ma said this was the reason America's economic growth had weakened, not China's supposed theft of jobs.

In fact, Ma called outsourcing a "wonderful" and "perfect" strategy.

"The American multinational companies made millions and millions of dollars from globalization," Ma said. "The past 30 years, IBM, Cisco, Microsoft, they've made tens of millions — the profits they've made are much more than the four Chinese banks put together. ... But where did the money go?"

He said the U.S. is not distributing, or investing, its money properly, and that's why many people in the country feel wracked with economic anxiety. He said too much money flows to Wall Street and Silicon Valley. Instead, the country should be helping the Midwest, and Americans "not good in schooling," too.

"You're supposed to spend money on your own people," Ma said. "Not everybody can pass Harvard, like me." In a previous interview, Ma said he had been rejected by Harvard 10 times.
Along those lines, Ma stressed that globalization is a good thing, but it, too, "should be inclusive," with the spoils not just going to the wealthy few.

"The world needs new leadership, but the new leadership is about working together," Ma said. "As a business person, I want the world to share the prosperity together."

It's too late now.

2009 was when the US should have engaged in a sustainable transportation infrastructure and other projects that would protect Americans and build a better future for upcoming generations.

Now, it's over.

No chance.

I'm starting to read more about some of the Chinese policies, such as "green" bonds and I actually think they might provide better leadership than our current traitors and thieves when they buy up the ashes of America during the next 10 years.

He is absolutely correct. The U.S. continues to throw obscene amounts of our money at the military industrial complex to build more and better war toys that the military can't wait to try out somewhere, which is one reason why we are at war all over the planet. They have all these expensive toys. They have to play with them somewhere.

And to pay for their war toys the U.S. makes cuts to things that really benefit average Americans, like infrastructure, like education, like healthcare, like the social safety net.

The U.S. government is owned by the big multinational corporations. They buy politicians so they won't stop the gravy train that continues to funnel American taxpayer money straight up to the C-suite and their investors. The one percent gets fatter and fatter while average Americans fall behind, in pay, in benefits, in quality of life.

China, on the other hand, is investing in its people and improving its own country, ensuring they will be competitive going forward in a changing world. They will own the world in another decade, and we will have no right to complain, because we literally handed it to them on a silver platter.

Smarts are overrated, holding on very tight to the reigns of power is where it is at.

I can say a lot of smart, logical things that would benefit the USA........many people can.
But so what, THEY do what they want, it is not a democracy.

Jack Ma lives in an Ivory Tower.

The costs of not implementing this strategy are clear. Failure to meet our defense objectives will result in decreasing U.S. global influence, eroding cohesion among allies and partners, and reduced access to markets that will contribute to a decline in our prosperity and standard of living.

Eff Jack Ma. His entire existence is at the whim of the PLA. His company exists because of intellectual property theft from the US. I love it when these little s***s have the audacity to lecture the US. Jack Ma would be another useless peasant scratching by if the Chinese hadn't installed him as their Jeff Bezos. He should wake up and kiss America's azz every day.

Leftists and their love of Communist/Totalitarian regimes never ceases to amaze. That's why they love the Progressives so much.
