A non-issue since that's a mischaracterization of what happened.
But sorry, I don't consider physically assaulting other people, especially spouses, "nothing" and I think it's worth quite a lot of ado.
I also think it's more than a little problematic to knowingly keep someone in a high level position handling the highest level of confidential documents when you know they don't have a security clearance because of their propensity to assault people.
You can dismiss those things, but most people are not so cavalier.
