In case you haven't noticed the students from the school in Florida have been very vocal and proactive in calling for lawmakers to do something about gun control. If they don't seem to need a moratorium until theirs classmates are buried, then who are we to say differently. If we want to deal with mental health issues along with addressing sensible gun control we need to start with people who label everything they don't like hearing about Mr. Trump 'fake news.' It's clearly a sign of mental instability.
See, this is why we can't get anywhere on the mental health issue. If we address it, then Democrats will label everyone who does not think like them as mentally ill, and take their firearms away.
No, it's wonderful to see how these former Moral Majority/party of family values Conservatives suddenly decide that morality isn't all that important after all. Even after they have preached about it to the rest of us for decades now.

first of all James. The Moral Majority voted for Ronald Reagan who was divorced and remarried. So the Moral Majority has never stated that the issue was an individuals past personal peccadilloes.
However, you guys decided to defend a pervert who lied under oath, but projecting on religious voters things that were never the issue.

The GOP promotes themselves as the party of conservative family values, but they are as far from that as you can get. They have NO values, especially if they turn a blind eye to the decades of unethical, despicable things Donald Trump has done, and continues to do.
Trump is shown himself to be a lowlife in that bus video, and they look the other way. Trump has numerous women come out and accuse him of sexual misconduct, and they pay no attention. There are many videos where Trump appeared on Howard Stern and said sickening things about his own daughter, and they pay no mind. Porn stars come out and relate stories about their little games with him, and they don't say a word.
The GOP has zero respect because of their double standards and hypocrisy. Bible thumpers who want to tell a woman what she can and can't do with her own body, but they let the man at the helm of their party live a life of sin with no problem whatsoever.
Can we get a moratorium on anti-trump fake news at least until the people in Florida are buried?
Better to have a moratorium on gun sales until the people are buried. I don't see what that tragedy has to do with this subject.
There have been 81 school shootings in the USA this year alone, and this is day 47. Eight of these resulted in fatalities. If we had a moratorium for every one (assuming three days each) this forum would have been shut down for twenty four days, that is how common that type of tragedy has become. Trump doesn't get a pass for someone else's suffering, especially when he is actually part of the problem.

The Republican party has never to my knowledge proposed a comprehensive mental health program, and never put money behind efforts to assist people with such challenges. Too much like 'national' health care, I suppose. The party does not have caring about other people's well-being in it's DNA. It is only a tired old excuse to deflect.
The GOP, following the NRA's commands, does not even want to keep deadly weapons out of the hands of people with mental health issues, and Trump's administration just recently rolled back a Federal requirement that attempted to address the issue.
Total and unabashed hypocrisy. One would have to be very gullible to take that mental health excuse seriously.
People all over the world (every continent, every nation) have mental health issues, but only in the USA does it result in mass murder repeatedly. Why is that?
