Whatever it was, it seemed disrespectful...

She's a great singer but it was pretty crap. Almost as bad as the "basketball game" that followed it.

True! They do this to fit into Hollywood. They are like trained circus animals. I also find it amusing all these celebrities who hate America so much, still live here. Certainly, with all their money, they could afford to just move out of the country...no?

it was pretty bad... but I don't think she disrespected the anthem or the country.

she said today he gets it was not good.

she was trying to do a jazz thing and it didn't work. what she needs are some people around her that aren't all about telling her how great she is.

she is great. but she needs a voice of reason.

That's my dream. Then everyone would be happier or better off, or at least I would be .

She sounded like she had a few drinks before she sang.

A few of the players may have considered taking a knee in protest.

it's amusing that these people feel compelled the F up the anthem.

Why don't they just sing the damn thing normally and boringly ? like we all did in grade school

No other country mutilates their anthem like we do.

Dear City-Data...

I realize that after having to hear that loathsome rendition, your poor ears must be either ringing or in various forms of distress, however... let me assist in the healing:

Whitney Houston sings the National Anthem

Also, let me just point out that she is appropriately dressed for the occasion.
She didn't sing it for herself to get attention. She sung it for the people. And it shows.
A notion that modern narcissistic performers just cannot seem to grasp.
