You conveniently left off the rest of my post. You know, the part where we laid off 400 people in December and another 250 right after the bonuses (ie PR STUNT) were handed out. I'm sure those people that just got handed their 60 day notice are so GRATEFUL for that one-time bonus.

Do you REALLY think that all those getting laid off are 'leftists'????

I read that CNN hasn’t updated their “jobs tracker” since January because Trump is just too successful

Layoffs happen, and in large orgs, which yours obviously is, they are planned months in advance of taking place. They are part of the budgeting/forecasting process.

Around a new calendar year is the precise time corps often pick, to reduce operating expenses vs the base (prior) year.

Kind of a strange argument to pick out the lowest month under Obama and claim that Trump performed some kind of miracle

https://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS11300000

Trump won't be able do much about that figure just like Obama couldn't do much to influence it because it includes everyone over 16 in the US who is not in the workforce, why would anyone include kids from 16-18 and people over 65? They aren't even expected to participate in the workforce. Not to mention the increase in the number of aging baby boomers will continue for some time, probably making LFPR even lower
"Now, even if the US economy continues improving—as most expect—it doesn’t mean that labor-force participation will rebound. Rather, it’s likely to keep declining for at least the next 10 years, as the baby-boomers continue to age out of the workforce. (CBO estimates that labor force participation will be at 60.8% in 2024.)"

But you guys didn't the last 4 years arguing hire the unemployment numbers were fake. To my knowledge the way they are calculated hasn't changed, they still don't account for our leaving the workforce blah, blah, you guys know your own arguments.

If you want to be accurate with numbers, the unemployment rate came down VASTLY more under Obama than under Trump. Not that it matters to Trumpies. They don't count that it came down from 11% (in some areas higher) to 5% or 4.9% or 4.7%.

But if the same exact economic growth continues after Obama....WOW, less than 1% drop is MAGA.

Amazing. But nothing surprises me any longer.

37% are out of the workforce. Trumpies won't quote that number.

If things are so great, we must be collecting a LOT of taxes, paying down the deficit and even paying some of the debt off, right?

Opps - Trump just borrowed 1.5 Trillion for the "Fake Economy" which puts the bill firmly in the hands of our children and grandchildren.

Of the 1.5 Trillion, I read that only 6% is going for higher wages - 10X that much for stock buybacks (in other words, the vast majority into the pockets of the well off)....

Seems that corporations take their charters seriously...and those charters do not say "be as good to your workers as possible". In fact, they say (or the effect is) to be as bad to the workers as possible.

Normally, if things were really great (without printing more money, etc.) we'd see wages shooting through the roof. But they are only up 2.6% over the last year - nothing to write home about. That means a worker making $12 an hour got a raise to $12.30, not exactly putting her or him into the middle class. TrumpCare alone will eat up vastly more than that 30 cents.

I am delighted , unlike the 44th POTUS, it is headed up under our 45th.
