The meeting took place after the election: therefore no election meddling of any kind possible related to the meeting.

More witch hunts. Desperation.

BTW DNS lookups are not requests to a server. They are requests for the address of a server. Hackers often scan for open and unsecured ports on mail servers, its one common way to breach systems that intended to require authorization.

Hackers ALSO forge their own machine and location information, so as to make it APPEAR that it originated from a place other than its actual source. One reason to do this is deniability, so that the attempts cannot be traced back to the hacker's actual location. The other reason is to IMPERSONATE a trusted authority, such as an individual that has been issued valid credentials from the targeted server or system.

So there are many reasons besides a relationship between a Russian bank and the Trump Organization why a server that APPEARS to belong to the bank was doing lookups (or port scans) of a server that APPEARS to belong to the Trump Organization.

And lets just put it this way so people can understand it clearly: anyone who has the authority or ability to obtain the data logs that store all these server communications, ALSO has the technical ability to be the hacker that might have impersonated or forged the data.

2820 Communications between Trump Tower and Alfa Bank in Moscow.

How odd.

But let's look into that number.

30 days in September. Means 2820/30 = 94 times per day EXACTLY.

It just so happens 94 times per day works almost but not exactly the number 96.

24 hours per day times 4 times per hour = 96 times.

Have a look at how a synchronized data base works.

If you set the SQL data base full backup at 2 times per day, and the transaction update at every 15 minutes there would be exactly 94 communications between computers every day.

The reason the number is 96-2 is the full backup takes more than 15 minutes.

Why was Trump's computer in Trump Tower maintaining a data base with a computer in Moscow.

As I detailed, 2820 times divided by 30 days is exactly 94 times per day.

Your theory is flawed owing to the number 94. If someone was a hacker and checking for an unsecured port every 15 minutes, then their program would do 96 checks per day.

Further, it is a contrived explanation. Whereas, the ordinary maintenance of a large database every 15 minutes with twice daily backups is both common and fits the number 94.

Well now, that's a good question.

And that folks, is why we as individuals, even working in the government, have our full 4th Amendment.
