Trump is renegotiating NAFTA so the money could be one source of funds for the Wall. I like the idea of an extra fee when illegals send money abroad. That would be a nice, personal hit each one would feel.
We don't like it because it's stupid. It's a waste of money for a symbol. It won't actually do anything. But it makes for a good chant at rallies!

If people left the US by the millions, trump and the democrats would be excoriating him. The UN would be investigating. Intentionally the media turns a blind eye to the Mexican crisis and the government that made it all possible.
I don't see this wall of his ever getting built but the fact that he said Mexico WILL pay for it mean's that the taxpayers shouldn't have too. Either that or Trump and those who voted for him can pay for it.

Not true. It is estimated that something over 40% of the illegal aliens are over-stayers but the last couple of years over 60% are believed to be over-stayers. So the wall works well less than half the problem.
I'd much rather see a new/expanded reservoir and new, stronger dams to save Houston, but where's the political gain in ensuring the safety of the fourth-largest city in America?
Trump has done nothing to secure land to build the wall, and the majority of the ranchers on the border don't want it. It will cut their houses off from their range, cut the ranches in half, and keep them from their supplies of water. They will file suits with cause as soon as condemnation proceedings happen. By the time everything is litigated, Donnie Boy will be a pile of ashes somewhere and the wall will be a bad memory.

Um, no most illegal aliens are jumping our southern border. At any rate we need to deal with both, the border jumpers and the visa over stayers, not ignore one or the other. They both require a different fix, duh.
So are wall supporters cool with the numerous private landowners along the Texas/Mexico border losing their land?
