I agree with this. Some people still have better mental faculties at 70 than some people a quarter of their age...while others do not and clearly need to retire.

I think mandatory competency and health requirements is a good idea though.

I think there should be yearly mental health assessments on all POTUSes and anyone in the line of succession, no matter how how they are, and that anyone deemed not mentally healthy should lose their position.

I would argue that it takes diminished cognitive ability to actually want to hold office but I digress.
