It will be interesting to see how many tens of students join this protest across the country.

I wonder what 'actors' they will get to pretend to be students.

So doctors have started pushing their way into schools and performing unsolicited abortions now, have they?

Or yes, logic might prevail and people could be intelligent enough to understand that students are protesting a direct threat that they face in their schools and not some random political issue - regardless of what side you happen to be on regarding abortion.

Anything to get out of school. Let them protest after hours or on weekends.

If they do it on their OWN TIME, and without government, school, and political groups sponsoring its fine. If not, then no way. Don't use my tax dollars that go to your education for ANY political protest on school time, or school property. Use your Saturday, and go march somewhere else.

It is a direct threat to schools. Abortions means reduced numbers of students means less federal money.

This is the same as the other walkout. A political issue that should NOT be handled during school time.

It'll be interesting to see if there is a double standard. As in, will HE get penalized? Will teachers who leave also get penalized?

Or will they be surrounded with the loving support of the school board?

Where's the walkout over the U.S. government's role in murdering thousands of children in Yemen?

Where are #MomsDemandAction on this issue? Where are Hogg and Emma?

Nobody cares about Yemen. Just like nobody really cares about Boko Haram in Africa or the plight of the Burmese Muslims.

I really have no strong opinion either way, but I suppose that one could make the case that abortion is an issue for many more families (statistically speaking) that school shootings will ever be. Of course, you could make a similar argument for global warming, the opiate crisis, and the price of Cheerios.

Or one could make the case that politic views have no place taking time from classes as agenda-driven rallies that use children as pawns.

No matter what your feelings are about the reason for the walkout.
