this is also true, however the reality is that there really is no solution to preventing someone from going in an shooting up a school. gun free zones dont work, they just provide a target rich environment. gun control laws dont work because if someone is really willing to go out and commit mass murder, they will find a way to get what ever weapon they are going to use. and even if oyu do eliminate ALL guns from the ENTIRE world, all i can say is remember mcveigh used a truck bomb to kill 168 people.
and of course there was an armed officer at parkland, and he never went in, as well as stopping others from going in. not to mention that this kid was contacted by cops 39 times before the shooting happened, and yet noting was done. it might not be the cops fault entirely for that, but in the end all the red flags were in place, and no one did anything.
