If its as you say, and no reason for me to think it isn't, then sounds like a bit of a false claim, he was tried by the media. A story is a story and media reports on them. The word of an ex spouse is not enough on its own to prevent getting a clearance especially if there is proof to dispute it.
It could be cause for delay though.
Just pull up and incognito tab on chrome or whatever and you can see it.

According to that report his job did not require a security clearance.

Forum search is a pretty neat feature huh?

By the way, that is only the first few I clicked on - there are literally pages and pages of hits for "snowflake" under Tripleh - kinda funny how you wanna dump on people for using what is apparently one of your favorite words.

Man, this is why there should be an age/maturity requirement to post here!

Nobody at all tried him. He quit on his own volition!

And for a fact, the word of an ex spouse IS enough to stop a Top Secret clearance. The clearances don't work like a trial, buddy; if something is suspected of having any potential for extortion or blackmail, that's all that's needed to block a clearance. Spousal abuse is one of the most common reasons why such clearances are blocked.

No it isn't.

Anyone who may think it does and would eliminate themselves from applying for a job should look it up and inform themselves with the facts.

Security judgment is based on pattern of behavior, not a single action. “Whole Person” concept is used.

False allegations made by an ex aren’t likely to be an issue. Statements that may be supported by facts are another story. If you have a history of bad credit and your ex tells the background investigator you’re a louse who overspends and makes poor financial decisions, that can absolutely have a negative effect.

In the same vain media's )former( responsibility was to hold those in power accountable. When they don't bother to investigate or verify information and present a one-sided view they can't be considered journalist.
Their function becomes the opposite of creditable. Unprincipled Media unchecked harms everyone seeking the truth.

Instead, I just have to put up with the false accusation like everyone else that disagrees with the left.

Its not a surprise to anyone, the left invents their facts and base their arguments on their inventions.

I wonder if any of the current/former the Fox News staff in the last 20 years had views that aligned up with the network's namesake. You know, that Hungarian immigrant and temporary socialist, William Fox.
