What is getting overlooked - or more likely, deliberately omitted - by those panicking about this supposed invasive mob is that those slowly making their painful way north have consistently said that they plan to ask for legal asylum at a designated entry point or points, once they reach the United States border.
Guess what: that's entirely legal and exactly what anyone seeking asylum is supposed to do. It's not illegal, they are not invading, they are not illegal immigrants or illegal residents at all.
Now you can argue whether or not it's a good idea for this group of people to try to come here, or if it's wise to take small children along with them, or what the make-up of the group is, or if admitting them will destroy our economy and take jobs from American citizens - go right ahead and argue about that, if you want to - but you cannot say that they are planning on doing anything illegal or in opposition to American laws by applying for asylum at the border at entry points designated for asylum applicants.
That's just what asylum seekers are legally required to do, and this group has said that is what they intend to do.
So knock off the rabble-rousing, panic stricken, xenophobic posts and accusations. They are not becoming, and they are untrue.

The troops will also be a deterrant to those who may choose to turn back instead of continuing on up to our border. Seems like it's working according to you and your's own admission.

For starters, those of us who think Trump's call to arms and goofy approach to dealing with our immigration issues are not "anti-American" as just about all Trump supporters want to insist. Or if to inform, just who exactly are these people "rooting on this caravan?"
How about rather than name calling, we do some fact checking?

You cant say "No thanks we prefer America". So all your assertions that what they are doing is reasonable and legal are wrong.

Maybe one of you can educate me on this. I thought the posse comitatus acts prohibited the use of the military on US soil? so how can soldiers be used at the border? Unless we are declaring war on Mexico in which case wouldn't the Congress have to grant the president permission to do this? Apparently he's going to use executive orders to get all this done. How?

One more very important fact is, as President, he is the commander in chief of all military, and if he orders that they be deployed, they are deployed.
There is no "asking" the pentagon, or anyone else.
