The King County courthouse is in the heart of downtown Seattle, not far from Elliot Bay. On the block where the main entrance is, there have been 380 assaults and 51 robberies reported, just in the past nine months. There is so much human waste on the sidewalk that crews have to pressure wash it on a daily basis, which of course is flushed down the storm drains. I'm sure the salmon appreciate that.

The former King County sheriff was once attacked outside the courthouse by a man with a pair of scissors. Jurors have been assaulted and threatened.

Seattle has been controlled by left-wing Democrats for decades. We now have a city council member who self-identifies as 'Marxist.' I don't think we have had a GOP mayor since James 'Dorm' Braman in 1964. I don't suppose the decades of far-left leadership could have anything to do with the above conditions. Nah, I'm sure the two are just random coincidence, totally unrelated. (/sarc)

Detroit, here we come!

I think this describes every city controlled by Dems for reasons mentioned many times before on this forum.

I'm waiting for someone to file a slip-and-fall claim against a city when they slip on human feces. Surprised it hasn't happened yet

What happens when people start poking themselves with all the needles in the streets?

What I don't understand is these cities have housing shortages yet continue to welcome every 3rd world non English speaking illiterate and their 6 children who can illegally cross the border.

They continue to take a problem and make it worse.

You are just not looking at socialism and the utopia in the right way. Close your eyes and fantasize.

This is a problem in Anchorage,Alaska too.

Anchorage is covered in poop

Fecal matter contaminates city streams, can make you sick

Anchorage has not been a Democratic bastion. It has had several Republican mayors over the last 40 years. However, it suffers from the highest rate of rape in the USA. Big homelessness problem in Anchorage, high rate of suicide and alcohol abuse. Much higher violent crime rate than Seattle.

All part of the plan for the Left. Just let conditions get so intolerable , so out of control as to necessitate the creation of an alternative form of govt.

Little do they understand, the recent Liberal objectives of guaranteed jobs, universal health care, free tuition and reparations are even more outlandish then even Trump's calls of "Build the Wall", "Lock Her Up" etc.

Easy to see there will be quite a few angry Liberals when Bernie's promise of a socialist utopia is proven to be no more than pie in the sky.

Well, I lived in Seattle until 2001, and spent lots of time downtown, both day and late at night. It was a fairly large city even then, and did not have such things. There was crime of course, but nothing like 380 assaults and 51 robberies in a 9 month period.

Denial--not just a river in Egypt...
