Do you ever read your posts before hitting submit?? Like the Republicans are standing on the street corners handing out guns. Your thought processes are skewed.
Where are the advocacy groups that claim to care about these young men?
There are lots of advocacy groups in Chicago that try to help these youth and stop the violence, and always have been.
Most people who talk about Chicago's gun violence are not from here, have never lived here and don't know what's going on, and also don't know these shootings are gang-related and are gang-on-gang (60% are gang or gang narcotics related) or domestic violence and confined to certain areas. Armed robbery is a small percentage.
Why are white people so concerned about the shootings in Chicago, especially when white people are the least affected by them? Are you concerned about the lives of these black youths or is this just a talking point to justify racism against blacks? When are all these people who love to bring up how horrible Chicago is going to come here to help out?

According to law enforcement, the majority of the guns used in these shootings are brought in from red states where access to purchase guns is much easier--mostly Indiana, Wisconsin and Mississippi. The guns are initially bought legally, then their way is made into the illegal gun selling market.
"Weapons recovered in Chicago were also traced back to Mississippi, Wisconsin, Ohio, Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Texas, according to the report."

Yeah if only Republicans controlled the city, then they could get rid of all of the crime with the great plan they have for it.... wait they don't have one. Just like with the national debt, immigration, and everything else.
But in the mean time, how's that Dem plan been working for you in Chicago.

Honestly we are not. It really is a Black family and Chicago problem and does not affect most of us. Chicago seems to be OK with keeping it isolated in an area so it does not affect their nice tourist city. Luckily Chicago has not become a Baltimore.
I do feel sorry for the innocent kids caught in the cross fire. Let the gang bangers do their thing, you'd think it's a self correcting problem.
Come to help? There is little help until the Black Family unit becomes a traditional father / mother household and education becomes a priority. Until then this will continue for the next 100 years or they kill each other off.

As a "yellow person", I want to know why the BLM people aren't staging protests on the sidewalks in the blocks where these blacks were shot at and killed. IMO 48 black people shot in one week is a lot more important to protest than one black person shot by police officers.
Oh wait... whoever these shooters were, they were black and because of the black community's "no snitch" culture, no one in these communities are going to help the police catch them AND... there is no big money payouts to be gotten from the city's coffers when the shooters are caught and brought to justice.
BLM only protests in situations where the families of the black "victims" have a chance at getting a large cash settlement from whitey aka "the man".
