What I think Trump should do is issue an executive order that requires parents and kids to be detained together until their illegal entry or asylum case is resolved. This will go against 1997 Flores though but if Dems file suit against the executive order and get it blocked then they will take the political heat for forcing families apart.

So when the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security says hat 10000 of the 12000 were unaccompanied minors...we shouldn't believe them?

unaccompanied means they didn't have adults of any kind with them. Unless they are redefining words now.
And this policy isn't about those kids. It's about the kids travelling with their parents.
