It took President Trump nearly a month to personally thank James Shaw Jr., the young African-American man who disarmed a partially naked gunman after he killed four people at a Waffle House in Tennessee, an administration spokesman said Monday.
While he didn't call Shaw, Trump found time to play four rounds of golf, thumb out 126 tweets, condemn mass killings in Paris and Toronto and travel to Indiana, Ohio, Texas and Michigan.
Trump also carved out time to headline the National Rifle Association's annual convention in Dallas last week, welcomed three Americans released from captivity in North Korea and praised Kanye West over Twitter.
Not letting a media opportunity go to waste Trump normally would have had a hero like this over to the White House within 48 hours.
So why did it take him so long to acknowledge him?
Since the fellow is black, then President Trump must be racist.

gee, I am sure this is a top news story that many will want to hear more about!!!
Mr. Shaw is bad for their narrative. An unarmed black man takes down a bad white guy with a gun? Then he gets himself cleaned up, goes to church with his family, and raises a few hundred thousand bucks for the victims' families.
If he were a white guy who shot the killer, trump would have thrown a freaking parade for him the next day.
Racism? Ask a New Yorker about the trumps and their history with housing discrimination. Or about his full page ad in the NYT recommending the death penalty for the Central Park Five, who were innocent.
