despite 7 scrapped convictions, prosecutors say detective Scarcella broke no laws.

To make matters worse, the retired detectives unit is honoring Scarcella because of his awesome work.

The state has paid out $40 million dollars due to Scarcella's awesome work and more cases are pending.

This is another case of the police being prosecuted by the person that knows them, it needs a special prosecutor. Thank goodness people are actually trying to get him convicted for framing defendants.

I don't understand what you are trying say.

Be SPECIFIC.

from YOUR artild, "After all, on Page 29, the prosecutors made a curious acknowledgment: that even though they had agreed in recent years to dismiss seven murder convictions that Mr. Scarcella helped obtain, he had done nothing wrong."

What he is saying is that he did a lot of things wrong and hurt a lot of innocent people but now it's being covered up by people who only care about protecting their job.

The guys like this on the force couldn't get away with it so easily if the Mayor etc. weren't giving them a pass.

Many urban voters will complain, but even when caught in police abuse cover-ups, they often have no one else to vote for and certainly not another party (Like Rahm Emanuels re-election).

In short, when you live in one-party oligarchy you often have no political voice.
