The same old "fruit of the poisoned tree" argument keeps coming up to bury evidence of crimes and conspiracy to commit crimes.

- Rice "unmasked" Flynn's name illegally.

- Steele Dossier was paid for by Clinton campaign.

- FISA warrant was solely based on the Steele Dossier. Judge didn't know a political party paid for it therefore FISA warrant was illegal and nothing obtained in that surveillance can be used.

- Cohen released information he obtained from a whistleblower, therefore it can't be used.

On and on and on. Makes no difference that these arguments are bogus BS.

- Unmasking and leaking are not the same.

- Makes no difference who pays for information given to the FBI. (Unfortunately, it does make a difference who pays for information used in political campaigns.)

- FISA warrant was not solely based on the Steel Dossier. Judge indeed knew it was paid for by a political party.

- Cohen can most certainly release any information he runs across. Any law enforcement agency that wants to check the SARs files can find the same information and use it as well. That's if it hasn't already been deleted like the EPA files.

It's pretty clear that team Trump know crimes were committed and they are doing this desperate tap dance to try to keep the evidence from being used.

I'm guessing that Mueller, sixteen of the best prosecuting attorneys in the nation, and Avenatti have a little better grasp of the law than the Trump team of legal eagles.

If you don’t want people to be condescending don’t purposely post moronic things. Simple.

Yeah, you think you're so smart -- you and your high school diploma.

People post the dumbest damn things, then complain when others make fun of them of them for being ridiculous.

He should be terrified. He broke the law by leaking and lying. A low level rat with no political power behind him is sure to pursued.

Experts told the outlet that anyone accessing FinCEN leaves an audit trail, so whoever searched for those associated with Cohen likely left a traceable digital record.

5 years -- if they found something substantial -- small price to pay for the truth.

Not a word on the propriety of these enormous payments from corporations and foreign governments into the Trump/Cohen coffers. No concern, don't care. But instead, they focus on attacking the whistle-blowers. Fox is no longer a news agency, but instead is simply a propaganda machine for Trump.

The leaker is in a law enforcement position.
The evidence was not obtained illegally. These are records that law enforcement already had.

The moronic response. No surprise.
You can't back your post with an intelligent post so you go with what you know.

Yup, for a time yesterday Avenatti's divorce issues were getting higher billing on Fox New's website than the latest school shooting. That really tells you all you need to know about their objectivity.

That makes sense. Could have been why the were flagged in first place. It makes the leaker look more like a Darwin Award Winner.

None of Fox News’ distractions takes away from the strength of the government’s evidence against Michael Cohen and the players in his web of malfeasance. It would seem the government actually asked for the SARs to be masked in the interest of the investigation, and they likely have MORE that the public hasn’t heard of yet as they follow the leads.

It is quite hilarious to watch some in the Trump base believe this is somewhow going to exonerate Cohen et al., or that people will get distracted so easily. The people in the Trump base who believe this must have severe cognitive deficits.
