Don't demand "revolution" unless you want to trade your first-world problems in for the horrors of the third-world.
My dad, who is a preacher, once said he would rather live in a cardboard box in third world sub-saharan Africa than live in a country that tolerated gay people. I think those demanding revolution are well-aware of the consequences. Their mindset is if they can't force our society back to the culture and norms of the 1950s by legislative means, they will burn it down entirely and they are completely fine with that. Basically, if they can't rule over and oppress others, then everybody should suffer.
I get it just fine. Majority of Americans support what Trump is doing - from sea to shining sea.
God bless America.

And then there is that invisible friend thing....

The polls were correct. The majority of Americans didn't vote for Trump. The Electoral College is the reason for his win.

What are you alluding to?
You invoked your version of an invisible friend. You know, like Vikings invoked Thor, Zoroastrians Mazda, ancient Egyptians Horus and little children who think of Santa as the all powerful who knows what they do, whether good or bad. You know, all those mythological creatures which have no place in the public sphere.
Just because you and 1 billions of your BFF have a believe, doesn't make it true. So, let's get back to discussing politics, and leave the mythology out of this thread.

Such mindsets are horrible, but these types know not the backlash they are bringing on themselves, nor would they survive the "burning down of everything" they so desire. Their time is short, and history will sweep them away.
I don't support Donald Trump, but I can't help rooting for a guy who pisses off so many people just for existing. It's hilarious!
Why?
If you had to work with Trump, live with him, or otherwise interact with him regularly or depend upon him, you'd hate his guts, too. His constant manipulation, abuse, and backstabbing are all well-documented facts that are easily researched. It is astounding the lack of empathy in this nation - Trump is "hilarious" until he hurts me, directly? Is that the theory here? Amazing...
Why is what amounts to trolling the entire population of the US, if not the world, with such an inept buffoon hilarious?

To be honest, they are going to bring about their own "persecution" that they have been screaming about for decades every time they lose a bit of privilege. At bare minimum, the church is going to be taxed. An organization should not be able to be this politically active and powerful and get by tax free. I think we are a few years away from it but the next decade is likely to bring about a strong backlash against Trumpism.
Things that currently seem impossible like gun control, universal healthcare, and taxing the churches might actually become feasible by 2025. That's if Trump and his supporters don't destroy the country first, which is what I am really concerned about.
A successful con-man will call his marks anything they'd like to hear.
Pretty simple, right?
Besides, he's called the parade of people marching through the revolving door of the White House the 'BEST' people, I wouldn't take his judgement of people too seriously.

Many see themselves forced to accept societal changes by legislative means that they dislike or deem unnatural. If some are waiting for a world where everyone is equal, holds hands and sings songs of unity - it's not going to happen - never has and never will. And socialism always fails.

History repeats. Nature will take it's course.
Well tough. If you want to live in a country ruled by a holy book and where questioning it is not tolerated, there are plenty of Middle Eastern countries that you might like.
Time moves on, whether you like it or not. The slave owners in the South didn't want the big bad federal government telling them they couldn't own people. They went to war over it and lost. The US has always progressed to become a more fair and equal society for all and will continue to do so as long as it exists.
