Exactly! Everyone has a right to his/her own opinion, and to express it -- until that opinion becomes something which a supposedly-enlightened clique seeks to officially sanction, and force upon all of us, via the monopoly on coercion grated to the nation state.

The players had a point to make, and they got that point across; the rest is up to a process driven by the free and open exchange of human opinion -- and there are still a large legion of whiners and complainers out there who don't like the way that opinion was expressed on 11/8/2016.

Too bad; you lost, but the system is still working.

Because he's still butt hurt the NFL wouldn't let him in and he drove the other football league into the ground when he tried to compete with the NFL.

I feel the same way. If they think America is so bad they should give up their millions for playing a stupid game and go live where they think it's better. If they think they can use their jobs as their own free time they should quit or be fired.

I guess Trump thinks these guys should be a bit more grateful ?

Trump should stay out of commenting on the NFL and their rules but he was doing so as a guy not as the President.

I think he should be bringing more attention to the illegal aliens that seek sanctuary here in the US but on the weekends they fly the flag of their home country, the very one that was oppressing them? Weird.
Where was his patriotism when he was busy avoiding the draft, I guess he didn't love his country enough to put his life on the line for her.

Overpaid, underpaid, vital to society or not, why on G-d's green earth does it matter? This administration is using a pattern of dehumanization regarding those they disagree with. That should cut to the core of every American, regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the kneeling.

This.

lOL.. I still don’t understood turned veterans into such whiny babies. It has nothing to do with them. Geez, find a real cause to be outraged about, vets-how many of them are homeless mentally ill addicts? Maybe focus on that and not a piece of cloth.

I do understand how simple Trump voters eat it up with a spoon, though.

Why is it that right wingers embrace freedom for the things they hold dear yet wish to deny it to others who have differing political viewpoints? They are usually the ones who proclaim the loudest about the virtue of being American and the freedoms we're supposed to have. Yet they do not or cannot understand that those freedoms apply to everyone, not just straight white conservative Christian males.

One really must wonder why they are so hypocritical. What are they so afraid of?

Do you feel that way about women who wear US Flag bikini's and guys who wear US Flag underwear?
